...with no hot water.

Holy crap! I thought they were coming to look at it yesterday??

Well...if it makes the midwest look even MORE enticing.... our hot water heater wasn't working a week or so ago. Bob called the plumber on saturday morning - not expecting a call back until monday. They showed up a couple hours later and fixed it right away.
I guess small towns do have some advantages!

No WAY!!! That really stinks. (Maybe stinks is a bad choice of words??)

Are you boiling water for baths now? I couldn't take a cold shower everyday. I hope your "Little House on the Prairie" experience will be over soon.

It WAS supposed to be yesterday, but they had to check on the manufacturer's warranty, and order a new one (why they can't go to the Home Depot and buy one like everybody else is beyond my understanding).

I almost cried on the phone yesterday with the lady at the plumber's office. I was soooo looking forward to a hot shower last night, and to know I wasn't going to get one was so disappointing.

I told CO last night I would rather stick needles in my eyes than get into that cold shower.

But I did it. And it sucked.

This trip into the 1800s is supposed to be over tonight, but as things have not quite been going as planned, I am not letting myself even think about the possibility of hot water.

Holy cow.

I would have totally sprung for a night at a hotel (with a shower that had HOT water) on about day 4.

I would be boiling water and have a warm bath rather than cold showers, I couldn't do it. Get some candles, some good smelling bath salts and let Calgon take you AWAY!
