And yeah, that's pretty much the attitude that I've seen a few women around me project to their husbands/boyfriends. (Makes me a little embarrassed to be walking around with 2 X chromosomes, those women.)

Reminds me of a song I used to hear on KFAT called "That's the way the girls are from Texas". Last verse, singer is flirting with a gal, then she finds out he's already married and plugs him "right between the eyes". Last part goes something like:
She was guilty, I was dead
But you know what that ol' judge said?
"That's the way the girls are from Texas"
